New 2015 Kia Optima Design
The 2015 Kia Optima starts with the classic Kia tiger nose grille flanked by aggressive projector beam headlights and LED front fog lights. 18" alloy wheels with a chrome finish and red front and rear brake calipers make up a sleek side profile. On the rear, dual chrome exhaust tips, rear spoiler and rear LED combination lamps add to the polished exterior design. Inside, subtle interior updates including repositioned steering wheel buttons make for a much more driver-oriented experience. Luxury materials like Nappa Leather on the Limited trim add to an expansive interior. Other updates for 2015 include new brushed bezels and stitching for the SX-Limited trim. New 2015 Kia Optima Technology and Safety
A host of safety options are standard on the 2015 Kia Optima, including dual front seat mounted side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and dual front advanced airbags that monitor the severity of an impact and controls airbag inflation accordingly to help reduce injuries in a collision. To keep you from avoiding collisions, the Optima comes with Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control, and a Traction Control System. Tech-wise, the Optima is offered with a 6-speaker system standard, or an optional Infinity Surround Sound Audio System with External Amplifier, Center Speaker and Subwoofer. New 2015 Kia Optima Performance
Performance is where the 2015 Kia Optima truly shines. Two Theta II engines featuring gasoline direct injection (GDI) technology are offered, including a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder with 192 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque that gets 34 mpg highway and 23 city. Upping the horsepower ante is the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 274 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, with 31 mpg highway and 20 mpg city. Mated to these engines is an electronically controlled 6-speed automatic overdrive transmission with Sportmatic. Rounding out the performance aspect of the 2015 Kia Optima are 4-wheel disc brakes and a MacPherson strut front suspension.
