1. Read the owners manual. No better way to get to know your new vehicle than reading all the manufactures information and getting to know your vehicle inside and out. The manufacturer has vehicle recommended maintenance schedules to keep your vehicle running in tip top shape.

2. Check and change the oil and oil filter. No single step will help your engine last longer. Not performing regular oil and oil filter changes will destroy and have a  negative impact on your engine. Sedan vehicles oil change frequency is 3,750 miles or every 5 months. which ever comes first. SUV oil change frequency is every 3,000 miles or every 4 months, which ever comes first as well.

3. Changing out Transmission and Differential fluids. While it is not required as frequent as oil changes these fluids do breakdown. See your Service Adviser for the recommended maintenance.

4. Flush the Cooling System and change the Coolant at least every 15,000 to 20,000 miles. By doing this it will keep the cooling system in good shape and prevent corrosion and deposits from building up.

5. Wheel's keep'em clean! Wheel's collect brake dust if left on to long. With the combination of road grime, moisture and heat from the brakes components, if not clean will bake the contaminates onto vehicles wheels.

6. Rotate the tires every 5,000 or 7,500 miles to keep tire wearing even and extend the life or your tires. Lack of Tire Rotations can cause uneven wear, road noise from uneven wear, ride comfort, and poor traction and ultimately premature wear on the tires.

7. Regular Brake Caliper maintenance is crucial for preventing premature brake component failure whether it be brake pads, brake rotors and brake calipers. In states like New York that are classified as an extreme environmental area, brake components should be cleaned and lubed every year or every 15,000 miles to remove rust, road grime and chemical buildup.

8. Air Filter and Cabin Filter- replacing the Air Filter at recommended intervals or as needed will help keep your engine clean and breathing fresh air for better performance. Cabin Filters are also important for the performance of the your vehicle. For those that have allergies and respiratory issues will benefit from regular replacement of the cabin filter as it filters contaminates from the air that enters the cabin area.

9. Interior of vehicle: Protect the interior of vehicle by parking in the shade whenever possible to eliminate leather, plastic, and fabric from fading and or dry rotting. Use a sunscreen if shade is not available.

10. Exterior of the vehicle: Wash, wash, wash or rub-a-dub-dub! Just like you your car likes to take a bath too. Regular washing and waxing is great for protecting your paint from the weather. Wax the vehicle at least every 6 mos. With wax or with a wax cleaner, this will remove any environmental contaminates from your paints clear coat finish. Most common contributors are brake dust, sap and road debris.
