A new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is offered with the redesigned 2016 Kia Sorento, as well as a stronger body structure, longer wheelbase and driving enhancements. Inside, the Sorento gains 1.5 cubic feet of overall cargo room over the outgoing model, with 74 cubic feet. Outside, a handy set of fog lamps, narrower headlight design and prominent lower intake provide an aggressive appearance.

Reimagined for 2016, the new Kia Sorento, like all Kias, was designed with nature's fluidity in mind. The new design has a more planted stance than the outgoing model and receives a much more aerodynamic and sleek appearance. The addition of new LED positioning lights add a much more aggressive feel to the already powerful and sporty design. For 2016, the Sorento has a stronger body structure, longer wheelbase and boasts a more dynamic driving experience. Inside, high quality materials and ample cabin space continue the upscale theme from the exterior. In fact, overall cargo room has increased by a foot and a half, with cargo volume behind the third row increasing from 9.1 cu.-ft to 11. The 2016 Kia Sorento is truly an upgrade from years past, inside and outside.

Four new UVO eServices are available with the 2016 Kia Sorento, including Geo-fencing, Speed Alert, Curfew Alert and Driving Score. All combining to add even more safety through technology. The new Kia App Store provides ease of use when downloading apps such as iTunes, Yelp, Pandora and much more. All this is accessed through an 8-inch color touchscreen that provides Bluetooth, voice recognition and an integrated backup camera. New 2016 Kia Sorento Performance
Three engines are offered with the new Sorento, including a 2.4-liter inline-4 GDI, a 3.3-liter V6 GDI and the new 2.0-liter inline-4 GDI turbo. This new turbo engine combines the fuel efficiency of the 2.4-liter with the power of the 3.3-liter to provide 240 horsepower and 27 mpg highway and 20 city. All engines are connected to an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with Sportmatic shifting. To help control the new Sorento around the corners, Kia upgraded its suspension geometry and responsive steering wheel system to handle even better. Upgrade to the Rack-mounted Motor Driven Power Steering and you'll have yourself an SUV that is a dream to drive.
